How long does the course take to complete?+

The full course is 3 months end-to-end, including the elimination phase, reintroduction, and building your long-term plan. Most people experience meaningful symptom relief within the first 10 days, and the rest of the time is staying symptom free and then identifying your specific triggers and building a sustainable forever plan.

Will this work if I’ve already tried low-FODMAP?+

Yes, and that’s the most common scenario we see. Most people who try low-FODMAP from a leaflet or a Google search get the elimination phase wrong, skip the reintroduction phase entirely, or end up over-restricted. Gillian’s protocol is the full clinical version, with the reintroduction phase that 90% of self-directed attempts miss.

Do I need any special equipment or supplements?+

None. You need internet access for the videos and a kitchen. Supermarket ingredients only. No bizarre powders, no expensive supplements. Everything is tested in normal UK and Irish supermarkets.

Is this suitable if I have a diagnosed condition (IBD, coeliac, etc.)?+

The course is designed primarily for IBS, functional gut symptoms, bloating, reflux and SIBO. If you have a new diagnosis of a condition like Crohn’s, ulcerative colitis or coeliac disease, we recommend the 1-1 programme with Gillian instead. Book a consultation through the portal and we’ll guide you to the right option.

What if I can’t follow it perfectly?+

The protocol is structured but not rigid. The course teaches you the principles so you can apply them around real life - restaurants, weddings, busy weeks. Module 8 is dedicated to exactly this. Lifetime access means you can revisit any module whenever you need a refresher.

Is this just for people in the UK or Ireland?+

The course is designed primarily for UK and Irish supermarkets, but the protocol works anywhere. Recipes are easily adaptable and most ingredients are common globally. We have students in Australia, Canada and the US.
